Recently, in an online search I did to search for evidence that Joe Rogan was correct about the health benefits of meditation and the connection between that and the many ailments of the mind, I came across a rather interesting theory involving Joe Rogan’s beliefs about the Japanese culture. According to the theory, Joe Rogan saw a similarity between the life span of the Japanese karate master and the author, Yujiaki Aoyagi, who wrote the best seller The Long Knife. The book was supposed to explain why Aoyagi could be able to live so long, even into his nineties. It also discussed how the brain is linked to various different parts of the body, including the brain, and how the body, and mind, can be linked to each other in some way. Aoyagi’s publication also discussed how many of the aches and pains we experience throughout the years are associated with tension within the body, in addition to the mind. So, it appears that Joe Rogan might have found his best evidence that meditation can deal with the human body and mind and prevent illness.
